so, in those first few weeks i learned alot from those [PHXX] guys n gals and some things they taught me they didnt even think about, it just happened. i would come in to play and the clan members with names likeWeaver, Scrotum, graham, barlow, paradox, 4nik8tr, SuckiePoop, Frumpy Jones, haywoodjablome Mike S, Rambo, Superman, Maggot, Cre8nChaos, MindBoggled, Ansypants, Tabum, ZahgurimX, Sc0rch, Sloppy, Asp, and Scott War were always ready to help me out when i didnt know how to make changes in my config, my name and how to switch weapons lol, hell i used caps for 2 years before wearing that one out and no one ever griped. i prolly didnt know how to change it from caps for a year(didnt wanna ask).they just took it as me being me and expressing the fact i wanted to be loud and out spoken lol.(now ya know where the caps started)
they were friendly and were never full of themselves as were other players in that server like the WTFO clan, now those guys were just like the PHXX clan, great group of players too. members liike Prodigalson, Dc.FireMan, ATD, Knives, Colt, DocMasterFlash, keg and a host of others. well i played in that server for weeks before i had the nerve to ask how to change my name to something else just because i didnt wanna look like a dork. when i did they didnt laugh at me or make fun they just asked me what name i wanted to use......now there is a question i didnt have the answer to. after thinking about it for a while i thought of my cover name for the S.O.R.T. team that i was on "HitMan". so they gave me the command line to put in my console to change my name to The_HitMan. well now i had a name i was used to hearing so now i have to figure out how to get that golden tag!! i asked around on how to become a member of the PHXX group and they always told me "you are a member of our group". man i thought they were just brushing me off like some noob lol. i learned later what they ment but i still played there every day getting to know them like i knew them in real life, where they lived, what they did for a living, married and kids and slowly but surely how PHXX came to be in the first place.
i then learned you could purchase admin from PHXX for $10 a month. hell i waste that much money on nothing and it went to help keep the servers so what the hell. i recieved an email notification about my admin status and the admin rules. there were only 13 rules back then and number 10 was the most important one of all, " 10.. Worship Graham, Scrotum, and Weaver". well after playing for about 4 months another clan that played in there was .jpg, they thought it would be cool to have me as a member to be there "mascot". now if you dont think i wasnt a happy guy!!!! i thought the world had fell to my feet, i was a damn mascot people lol. i didnt know then that it wasnt really anything but they hated seeing me clanless i guess and wanted me to feel important. i wasnt allowed to play in there cal team but i was on there roster "just in case" mascot reasons ya know. the jpg leader furious george talked to me for an hour playing on the role of a mascot into some pro football side lines mascot idea. i was in heaven.(what a noob!!!!)
i played using that tag until about 6 months later when PHXX member Cre8nChaos came to me and told me to email Asp and let him know that he had interest in me becoming a member. well i wrote an email to asp that Chaos gave me letting him know that i was still interested in PHXX. a day or 2 later ASP repplied with an email telling me he had heard good things and wondered if i had irc and to come there and pm him because he wanted to speak with me for awhile. well 5 or 10 minutes into our conversation and while i was sweating bullets hoping that i was giving him not only truthful answers but the answers he was looking for, he asked if i would like the honor and privilege to join PHXX. damn i called everyone in my family to tell them the news lol(like htey cared), i was speachless. after re-reading what he had typed several times and after dis-missing that is wasnt a hoax i crapped my pants, screamed real loud, woke up my kids, made my wife come running, did a dance and then returned telling him that i would be over joyed.

well i thiought i would start my blog life with how it all started for me.
i always have someone asking me how long i have been around or how long i have played the game so i thought i would share a little of my counter-strike life with the rest of you.
it all started with me when i was chatting in an msn chat room with alot of friends and a guy named duck asked me if i had a game called counter-strike. my response was no and that i had never even heard of it. well he coned me into buying it at wal-mart so that i could play on his computer. he and i played 1v1 lans on his computer for a couple of weeks or so when he disappeared. i then decided to click on the online portion of the game to check it out.
when i did i landed in a server full of rude people who didnt seem to care how everyone elses gaming experience went as long as they got there kills. well my name was still player so i didnt last there long before getting banned because i didnt know how to play very well. i bounced to the next server on my list only to find the same type of uncooth players who made fun of me for having the name player and was shortly banned.
well the third server was the charm, PHXX.NET east is where i landed and found the players to be well mannored for the most part and the PHXX guys n gals were even more helpful. over the course of a few weeks they tought me how to change my name, basic sportsman like conduct and how much fun it really was to play somewhere with adults running the server.
i grew fond of that server and never did play anywhere else. i got to know the regulars there playing every night, so much my wife hated the game. she said it seemed like i was spending more and more time in that server playing every day. i was hooked from the first day i joined that server. the players were nice to hang out and play the game with while i unwinded from my day. before to long i was logging more hours playing then i was working because if i wasnt sleeping or working i was in that east server.
